SATHU VILLA INTERIOR DESIGN
This two-story residence exemplifies Modern & Cozy architectural design with aging-in-place principles at its foundation. The design features clean modernist geometry softened by warm, natural materials—particularly light-toned finishes and vertical timber slats that filter daylight and blur interior-exterior boundaries. Strategic window placement maximizes natural light, reducing energy consumption while promoting circadian health.
Every interior detail reflects empathetic design for senior living. Circulation paths include recessed lighting for low-light navigation, while handrails are strategically integrated at stairs and wet areas. Furniture is dimensioned at senior-friendly heights for easy transitions and physical support. The layout ensures accessibility without compromising spatial clarity or aesthetic harmony.
The house features a tropical-style pitched roof with deep 3-meter eaves providing passive solar control—shielding from heat and rainfall while encouraging cross-ventilation. Despite its narrow footprint, the interior benefits from 3-meter-plus ceiling heights achieved by utilizing the roof's slope. This facilitates natural airflow and thermal comfort while creating vertical openness, resulting in a dwelling that is climatically responsive, visually serene, and inherently livable across all life stages.
